Kaye Ames School for Dogs
Kaye Ames owns and operates the "Kaye
Ames School for Dogs" in Lancaster, PA. Her
school provides opportunities for advanced growth
between dogs and their people, utilizing the most
up-to-date, positive, motivation behavior techniques.
Kaye has been counseling and teaching
dogs and their people since 1962. Her classes
address all levels of learning for pets and show dogs.
Private, group, and in-home classes are available.
Kaye also spent five years as a
veterinary assistant, 38 years as a professional dog
groomer, 14 years as a professional show handler for 27
different breeds, and was a breeder of Champion German
Shorthaired Pointers and Rottweilers.
In addition to her training classes,
Kaye provides individual consultations for puppy
temperament testing, puppy selection, and behavior
consultations and modification for dogs of all ages.
Behind the scenes, Kaye donates her
time and talents to the community, working with animal
shelters to correct behavioral problems in shelter dogs,
resulting in dogs being placed in their forever homes.
